Clinical psychologist Dr. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D. has been quite a fixture in the psychological services community in New York City for most of a career that has now stretched to well over a quarter century. At the base of Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D.’s career is a very significant level of education, beginning with the degree he received from Harvard in 1968. He also attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 1968 and 1969 before earning his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon. One was not enough, of course, so he earned a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986. He earned his Ph.D. from Adelphi in 1988.
In addition to his own education, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D. Has also had a hand in the education of a number of others, having spent time as a professor, faculty member and an associate professor with several universities and other institutions of higher learning. His writing has been published in many journals and as many book chapters. He was a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services in 2007, and he still serves there as a senior psychologist.
